Crossroads Ranch Program

Cowboy/Cowgirl Camps

A true adventure for boys and girls, 8 to 15 years of age, kids get to spend their nights in cabins and their days with horses! Each child is assigned their own horse for the week they will care for doing chores, take arena lessons on, venture out onto the trail with and present during the weekly horseshow (open to families & friends). Other camp activities include swimming, water trampoline & ‘blob’, canoeing, creek walking, hiking, fishing, leather crafting, and this year….campers can learn and earn their very own ‘Cowboy Driver’s License’! Daily devotions, staff talent show and a weekly Campfire cultivate the spiritual side of life.

Notice: Following the horseshow, families are invited to stay for a Hoe-Down Dinner and Dance. Just indicate your intentions to attend on the registration form. Monies are collected at the time of registration. Sessions are one week at time at $ 250.00 each. (2010 returning campers pay 2010 fee)

Weekend Retreats

Tailor made for your group or family these weekends are fantastic fun and a great opportunity to build relationships and unity. The sky is no longer the limit when we put our heads together and make camp just what you desire. Cabins or tents? Adventure or Instructional? One or Two nights? Our food or yours? Call the New Creations office at (765) 935-2790 for ‘brainstorming’ and costs.

Scout Camps

Another opportunity for ‘custom-made camp’! Girl scouts, Boy scouts and American Heritage groups can come to CrossRoads Ranch and earn merit badges. Of course we are seasoned in the Horsemanship Badge department, but many scouts have also earned many other badges while here at camp!
Please call the New Creations office at (765) 935-2790 for options.

Riding Lessons

It is very rewarding to connect with a horse while learning to ride well. Private and small group lessons are available by appointment at the Ranch. Currently we teach beginner and intermediate Western lessons, specializing in children (not limited to).

Fees are $25.00 for a 40 minute lesson, beginning with ground safety and horse care. Helmets provided. Long pants and boots required, please. Sessions are 12 weeks each. Please call the New Creations office at (765) 935-2790 for availability and session schedules.

Helmets, long pants and boots with a heel are mandatory riding attire. Helmets are provided and included in rental fees. Special hand-led pony rides provided with advance reservations for 3-6 yr olds.

Special Events

We love life and making people feel special. So whatever your reason to celebrate we would love to help you do it! Please call the New Creations office to discuss your needs and we will tailor make a memorable celebration for you.

Boarding School Horsemanship Class and Camps

Contributing to the Physical Education requirements of New Creations Christian School, CrossRoads Ranch provides excellent instruction in horse health and care, riding theory and western riding. Each participating student is assigned a well trained horse to learn to ride. Students also have the opportunity to learn the foundations of horse schooling and will train an assigned ‘green’ or young horse. In order to observe the diverse nature of the horse industry field trips are taken to CRR veterinarian clinic, the mounted police department stables, a therapeutic riding center, training clinics, shows and more.

Two Birds Internships

The old saying ‘get two birds with one stone’ stands true at CrossRoads Ranch Internship program. Bible-based leadership training and accountability are the foundations of our training. Both summer and year-round internship opportunities are available at the Ranch.

Volunteering at the Ranch

Much is accomplished by the volunteer staff at CrossRoads Ranch. Our volunteers add a lot of fun camaraderie to our team. Opportunities include everything from horse care and prep to fence building and barn maintenance, from prayer and photography to administration and schooling horses and so much more. If you love any aspect of our ministry and see yourself serving the Lord in this capacity then please call, come for a visit, fill out the application form and then we’ll see where you fit! Thank you.
