About Crossroads Ranch
The Beginnings of New Creations
In 1967, Tim and Bonnie Cummings received a strong urging from God, to work with youth at their church in Sunday school and a youth choir for the 5th and 6th graders. In 1969 Tim accepted a call to start a ministry for teens and young adults. He began with Bible studies and started a choir and the Ministry of “New Creations” began. In 1976 the Cummings, with three small children, moved to the present location of 6400 National Road East, Richmond, Indiana.
In 1978, a Christian School was started for the needs of the 16 teens in the Cummings home and 10 in another home. The public schools could not provide the structure and discipline the teens needed on a 24-hour basis. They needed Jesus to be in their home and school life to change their lifestyle. The first year we opened our school to any family who wanted to send their teen to our Christian School. Two years later we started adding elementary students and became a Christian School for K-12.
In 1980 New Creations opened their doors and started the New Creations Chapel. The Church provided a home church for the staff and students plus many area people who came to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
In 1984, New Creations Bible Institute was started using video instruction. In 1986, New Creations Bible College started with majors in Residential Counseling and Christian Education. New Creations Bible College received accreditation from the International Christian Accrediting Association in July 1992, at the baccalaureate level. In 1995, New Creations Bible College received approval from the Indiana Commission on Proprietary Education for the purpose of Veteran benefits. In 1995, New Creations Bible College received approval from the Immigration Department to enroll foreign students. In 2002, NCBC reinstated our baccalaureate program. Accreditation at this level was accredited by ICAA. In 2009, NCBC received full accreditation for the associate and baccalaureate program from Transworld Accrediting Commission.
In 2003 we began accepting student athletes into the school to help them grow spiritually, athletically, and academically to secure a quality college education. In 2009 this mission arm grew to be New Creations Basketball Academy, a Prep School.
In 2009 our equestrian program developed into CrossRoads Ranch to minister to the needs of all ages through the love of horses. We are planning for new stables and indoor riding arena.
